The perfect line of Agags Groove cuts through Rannoch wall in a diagonal from right to left. Seen from the A82 this amazing four star Vdiff is a fantastic day out for any climber.

Inspired by my MIA build up Gordon was keen to get out into the hills again, this time the forecast looked a lot better. We even managed to see a bit of sun.

Our aim, the Very difficult rock climb called Agags Groove. 105m of fantastic easy climbing in one of the most inspiring setting on the Scottish mountains.

As there was a queue of three other parties behind us and being the first ones there we thought we’d better get a move on. Topping out in record time and short roping down curved ridge back to the bags we realised there was still plenty of time left in the day and I laid down the change of Fracture route a starred VS 4c on the toe of the buttress. An excellent steep but steady 2 pitch Very Severe. We opted to only climb the first pitch (it is the good one anyway) and absail from the insitu tatt at the top of Dingle.

Returning to the bags for second lunch and then the walk out. To make things more interesting and because Gordon had commented about the two massive bouldering on the sky line I took the party across to the bottom section of North Buttress another classic mountain ridge on the Buachaille.

Another excellent day out on the Buachaille, it always delivers.
